Let me introduce Chatelherault House located in Chatelherault Country Park, Hamilton; a Palladian style hunting lodge and former residence to the Duke of Hamilton. Not the easiest to pronounce so I’ll give you a little help; it’s pronounced ‘Chat’ (as in French chateau) - le - row - (as in row of houses) Chat-le-row. I hope that helps.
Chatelherault House is stunning wedding venue full of history and charm, not to mention oozing in romance. The venue retains many of it’s original features and this is why it’s so special; the ornate ballroom with original decorative features dating back to 1734 to the absolutely stunning parterre gardens to the rear of the house - no wonder this is my favourite wedding venue in my locale.
Having the opportunity to photograph weddings here is a dream but I’ve also been fortunate enough to shoot fashion photoshoots in this magnificent venue. It’s flooded with natural light; the dual aspect windows in each room allows for lots of natural sunlight will make your wedding photography so light and natural. Imagine those arched windows opening up onto the immaculate lawn of the parterre gardens, a harpist entertaining your guests and your photographs being absolutely spectacular against the backdrop of the house. Every inch of this venue is exquisite and that’s why it’s my favourite in the area. And for information, the acoustics are outstanding in this venue.
It’s always so lovely when my couples choose me because they have a vision for their day in fitting with their chosen venue, and this is one venue that it’s crystal clear where their vision lies - timeless, romantic and elegant.
