A fabulous little Glasgow City Centre pre-wedding photoshoot.
There’s just something so special about Glasgow. The architecture, the feel, the people and for this pre-wedding session, by far my biggest goal was including our amazing architecture into their fabulous city centre photoshoot.
My couple are getting married at an uber trendy and chic venue close-by and wanted to include some of our famous Glasgow landmarks which we will also be including on their big day. Unfortunately the Gallery of Modern Art was out of bounds for us on this specific day due to scaffolding, so this will be a priority shot on their wedding day. We simply must have The Duke of Wellington in their gallery, it’s a must for any city centre wedding day.
Each pre-wedding photoshoot is so special to me and I always do my research prior to the shoot day. My research for this shoot took me to a gorgeous little nook next to a Gin Bar (which I may or not have frequented a few times) and I just knew this little area would be perfect for my couple. The surrounding stone buildings are quaint and full of character and I knew I had to utilise the little steps and doorways.
I also knew I wanted to use the beautiful building which is currently Banco di Roma restaurant and utilise the steps and pillars. We then headed towards the Merchant City area and used the iconic arches with it’s beautiful hanging chandelier; a must when marrying in the beautiful City Chambers at 23 Montrose Street. Another fabulous backdrop I used was 1802 at Hutchesons Hall; a gorgeous building with a fabulous clock tower. And the colour was perfect for my look.
My couple were delighted with how their session went and were even more over the moon when they received their gallery a few days later.
The planning has started for their shot list for their super chic wedding day in October of this year. We simply cannot wait.
